After several years making music as one half of Solar Apple Quarktette and Neptune Alpha Base Massive, and running the Further Out label, Richard finally comes on with his debut solo material.

Sometimes I is a beautiful little mid-tempo jazzer weaving in lush samples in support of Mr E’s keys – rhodes, hammond and some exotic zither/koto combo. The track has already received some very positive reactions, which prompted Richard into releasing it as his debut.

Hear Her Call is on a voodoo jazz tip starting with a tight, spare Afro drum, a mellow guitar loop and a flute that leads us into a tasty jazz piano riff and the spiritual call of the soul-jazz diva.
